I have over 50 years in the automobile business, all with Chevrolet. At age 13, I started sweeping floors and washing cars at Central Chevrolet in Fremont. The dealership was started by my grandfather in 1937. After working summers while in school, I became full time in 1977. Over the years I worked my way through the various departments that made up the company, learning the business and appreciating the people who made the organization work. In 2009 our family closed the dealership. I joined the FH Dailey Chevrolet team in 2012 and brought with me all that experience and “Bow Tie” passion.
My first Corvette memory is at 9 years old when my Dad drove a silver ’63 Vette for a demo. I fell in love with the sleek lines, raw power, and the way he took it through the gears. At 15, I learned to drive a stick on a ’70 LT1 Corvette. I’ve had the good fortune to drive every year Corvette since then… well except ’83. One of my greatest thrills was to ride with Andy Pilgrim in Z06 as he did some hot laps at Laguna Seca. What that car can do!
Our family has 1954 Corvette, a 40th Anniversary 1993 ZR1, and a 50th Anniversary 2003 convertible.
I would love to hear your Corvette memories, and help you make new ones!
